==Domestic affairs== N_ightmarre's presidency was rather unremarkable when compared to his immediate predecessors and successors in terms of domestic policy, essentially continuing the previous administrations reforms of the federal government to combat inactivity within the group. N_ightmarre did, however, push for reform for the Department of Homeland Security, a department that had been relatively neglected by previous administrations. === Creation of the Space Force === One of N_ightmarre's premier achievements was the creation of the United States Space Force. On February 17, 2021, President N_ightmarre signed the United States Space Force Act of 2021 into law, creating the United States Space Force and shutting down the United States Coast Guard. The law further established the United States Space Council, consisting of senior space leaders including the Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Secretaries of State, Defense, and Transportation, and others. The Council was almost never used, due to the declining activity of NASA. The Space Force only lasted for one month after N_ightmarre's term ended, being shut down under the presidency of Ralphiuss. === Inactivity crisis === Since November 21, 2020, following the release of Ridgeway County and the general lack of Clan Management support for the federal government, the United States was plagued with a massive wave of stagnation and inactivity. To remedy this, President N_ightmarre signed several executives orders and memoranda. One such order was the war games memorandum, which organized scrimmage matches between members of federal law enforcement at Futuretops. N_ightmarre signed two executive orders decriminalizing bank robbery, the first executive order removed employment penalties for robbing banks off-team, prohibiting agencies from firing agents who partook in robbery and a second executive order he joint-issued with Washington, D.C. Mayor Hopp_fr ordering both the United States Department of Justice and the Washington, D.C. District Attorneys Office not to pursue violations of bank robbery to allow federal and local law enforcement officers to gain money to combat crime within the city. N_ightmarre also signed into law the Stimulus Act of 2021 on March 9, 2021, which officially legalized bank robbery to allow law enforcement officers to gain money quickly through robbery. The law was struck down by Clan Management, which then blacklisted several members of Congress that proposed and voted on the bill, most notably House Majority Leader Teasoups and president pro tempore of the Senate ZartaVex. === Vice Presidents === Vice President Guggen_Pierre resigned only two hours into N_ightmarre's term which allowed him to pick a new Vice President in accordance with the Twenty-Fifth Amendment of the United States Constitution. N_ightmarre appointed Speaker of the House Ralphiuss to serve as the 47th vice president of the United States on February 16, 2021. On February 17, 2021, his nomination passed both chambers of Congress and he was sworn in the same day. The oath was administered by Justice AcidRaps of the Supreme Court. Ralphiuss resigned as Vice President on March 14, 2021, due to being elected as president of the United States, and wanting to dedicate the week before the inauguration solely to the presidential transition. Three days later, on March 17, 2021, N_ightmarre nominated Senator GDKfonzo to serve as Vice President for the remainder of his term. GDKfonzo was confirmed and sworn in as the 48th vice president of the United States on the same day. Vice President Fonzo served for the rest of N_ightmarre's term, only four days, making him the shortest serving vice president in history. === Homeland security reform === During his tenure, N_ightmarre helped to push several reforms to the Department of Homeland Security, through both executive orders and federal legislation. The Department of Homeland Security had been seen as essentially a secondary law enforcement department, especially when compared to the focus put on the Department of Justice and the Strategic Command Department by previous administrations and relative abandonment of the Department of Homeland Security. Due to the increased rise in terrorism within Washington, D.C. at this time, notably from the criminal gangs Vein and the Sponge Gang. The first executive order of his term reorganized the Homeland Security Council to increase oversight of the department, as well as give it the same treatment and importance as the National Security Council, as the Homeland Security Council in previous administrations had always taken a backseat to the National Security Council or been absent entirely. He also signed an executive order transferring the United States Special Weapons and Tactics Team from the jurisdiction of the Department of Justice to the Department of Homeland Security. The crowning achievement of N_ightmarre's homeland security policy was the passing of the Department of Homeland Security Enhancement Act of 2021. The law created the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency under the Department of Homeland Security, it also both formally placed the United States Special Weapons and Tactics Team under the Department of Homeland Security and formally established the Office of Intelligence and Analysis, an office which had in the past operated unofficially out of the Office of the Secretary of Homeland Security. === Federal budget === On March 2, 2021, Secretary of the Treasury F_emBoyz and President N_ightmarre announced a new federal budget for the United States of 10,000 Robux. The budget was the first one created since the one passed under President Lacryma's administration in October of 2020, although that was entirely funded by then-Secretary of the Treasury TacticalRock101, as opposed to the Clan Management. The budget passed on March 8, 2021. As of 2023, it was the last federal budget passed by any administration. === N_ightmarre's Freedom Initiative === Under his administration, N_ightmarre reestablished the Internal Affairs Institute, which had been previously shutdown under the administration of Lacryma. The President renamed it to "N_ightmarre's Freedom Initiative" and gave the agency the same broad powers the previous Internal Affairs Institute had in government oversight, including the power to essentially terminate anyone who was deemed to have abused their power. ===Judicial appointments=== N_ightmarre made two appointments to the Supreme Court during his term, his briefly former-Vice President Guggen_Pierre and federal judge Kyle90038. Both were confirmed by the Senate, with the latter going on to be appointed as Chief Justice by N_ightmarre's successor, Ralphiuss. During N_ightmarre's term, Chief Justice KOTwarrior, appointed by President Suddenrush12G in 2016, retired after five years serving as Chief Justice. Associate Justice KarlCRove, appointed by President SurpriseParty in 2017 and Associate Justice Aescies, appointed by President Reset4K in 2020, also retired from the Court. N_ightmarre declined filling their spots, as the three Justices resigned just six days before the President's successor, Ralphiuss, was to be sworn in. N_ightmarre also appointed Chief_Vinexy, aConArtist, Ahmad1223333, and Tr3yway_yada as federal judges, however none of the nominations were confirmed by the Senate and all four were revoked by President Ralphiuss upon taking office.
