Moolah60's Rebellion also known as Moolah's Insurrection or the Civil War was an attempted coup d'etat that took place from July 27, 2013 to August 14, 2013 following Moolah60, the president of the United States at the time, taking control of the group.

Leadup to the coup

On July 27, 2013, founder and holder of the United States of America, Nightgaladeld, was hacked by an unknown individual, who was attempting to sell off his limited items. Nightgaladeld, fearing what the hacker would do to the United States, gave control of the group to then-Attorney General Marinio, to keep hold until his account was safe again. Marinio was then ordered by Nightgaladeld to give the group to then-president of the United States and co-developer of Washington, D.C., Moolah60, to hold until Nightgaladeld could regain his account. Marinio refused to give the group to Moolah60, as he did not trust him, however TheEvidence, president of the United Clan of Roblox and Deputy Director of the National Security Agency, had access to Marinio's account and gave the group to Moolah60, believing that Marinio's account was at risk of the hacker.

On July 28, 2013, the hacker was confirmed to be Ozzymen, an agent of the National Security Agency, after a forum post by Marinio outlined the details of what had happened. Ozzymen had become fed up with how higher ranking members of the groups were treating him due to the fact that the exploits he developed for the National Security Agency were technically illegal, so he hacked Nightgaladeld out of revenge. Ozzymen confirmed that he was the hacker later in the day on his own YouTube channel, standing in the Oval Office of the White House, warning the United States that he "let them off easy".

However, Nightgaladeld claimed to Moolah60 that he had downloaded exploits which he found on YouTube. Moolah60 was involved in developing some of the earliest Roblox exploits but was bound by promises not to share them. Nightgaladeld claimed he had become jealous that Moolah60 would not share the exploit program with him, causing him to search for a public one. The exploit Nightgaladeld downloaded contained a keylogger which reported his Roblox account password to the hacker. His account was then hacked and his limiteds stolen. The hacker also left the main group. Marinio saw the group was no longer owned by anyone and claimed it for himself. After discussing what to do with Moolah60, Nightgaladeld ordered Marinio to transfer ownership to Moolah60 while he sorted everything out.

Moolah60's reign

Moolah60 officially took control of the group on July 28, 2013 and was given the role of Founder, which gave full control over all ranks, games, and funds. Due to this, Moolah60 resigned the presidency and made Gmf34, the leader of the United States Military, president of the United States. Gmf34 was not vice president of the United States and thus had no actual claim to the office.

Around the same time, White House Chief of Staff Imnotaguestimagirl posted to the forum that Moolah60 taking control of the group was part of a months long conspiracy planned by Moolah60 and Gmf34.

Moolah60 originally planned to return the group to Nightgaladeld, but disputed with him whether he was clear of all risk. A week waiting period was requested, to which Nightgaladeld refused. Nightgaladeld then exiled Moolah60 from all departmental and other sub-groups which he still owned. In turn, Moolah60 exiled Nightgaladeld from the main group and declared he was the owner. Gmf34 was made president as a gesture between the military and Moolah60.

During Moolah60's ownership, the government functioned relatively normally, with most people continuing their jobs as normal and Moolah60 continuing development of Washington, D.C.. Nightgaladeld continued to make public posts on the forum promoting his group for loyalists and giving public updates about his status on regaining the group through Roblox support. Throughout the coup, Nightgaladeld had loyalists in agencies such as the United States Military and the Central Intelligence Agency feed him information on Moolah60 and Gmf34's activities in the group.

On August 14, 2013, Nightgaladeld had the group returned to him from Moolah60 by Roblox support.

Aftermath

Following Nightgaladeld's return as the holder of the United States, all of Moolah60's supporters were purged, including Moolah60 himself. Gmf34, the leader of USM, resigned from the community following Nightgaladeld's return. Moolah60 continued to attempt to disrupt activities within Washington, D.C., as he still had developer access, until Nightgaladeld removed it from him. After that, he went relatively inactive on the website.

On August 16, 2013, one day after returning to ownership of the group, Nightgaladeld ordered a new presidential election be held to fill the vacancy of the office. Marinio won the election and was sworn in on August 26, 2013, as the third president of the United States.

Historiography

Much of the actual details of the coup is unknown, due to many key members being banned and thus having all their forum posts removed, the general confusion of most people at the time of the coup, and personal biases in people's accounts to make themselves look better. Multiple contradictions occurred in the initial explanations of how Moolah60 gained control of the group, with both Nightgaladeld and Marinio both saying they did and did not give Moolah60 the group. There were also disputes over how involved Ozzymen was in the coup, or if he even hacked Nightgaladeld at all or was just taking credit for something someone else did.

The general historical consensus is that Ozzymen did in fact hack Nightgaladeld, and while controlling his account he left the United States. Marinio, being the first person to see that the United States was without an owner, took control of the group and handed it to the most trustworthy person he could, the president, Moolah60.
