The March 2024 presidential election was a presidential election in NUSA and was the first presidential election held after the reset. It was held on March 14, 2024 and ended on March 16, 2024, with results released on March 17, 2024 at 7:25pm EST. The election saw the highest voter turnout in a long time in NUSA, with over 700 voters pre-filter and 575 votes that counted.
In a highly competitive election where Senator GeorgeGodsent, representing the Freedom Party, faced off against WHCOS and former Vice President AdamStratton in the general election, George was declared the winner by over one hundred votes, winning him the election. George secured 57.39% of the vote.
Two independent challengers remained candidates in the race, even though they had under 4% of voter desire in the final poll before the election such as StopJosh_STOP, and NUSA veteran AugmentedReaper. Independent challengers received a maximum of 10 votes in the election, with a total of 2.12% of the vote going to independent competitors.
Corruption, hiring processes, and diplomatic/foreign policy were headline issues for the election according to a poll conducted by MSNBC. GeorgeGodsent, who would become the winner of the election, campaigned on a platform of anti-corruption and reformed hiring processes, making him a desirable option for voters.
Polling
Polls were heavy in favor of GeorgeGodsent after Publican nominee JordiHarris dropped out of the election citing 'personal issues' as his reason. Before Jordi's drop out, Jordi had a narrow lead in the polls over George. The polls conducted in the final days before the election showed George's heavy lead over new contender AdamStratton.
Final poll before elections
Two days before voting opened, a final poll was administered. GeorgeGodsent continued to prevail, even though AdamStratton managed to gain a substantial amount of new support since the last poll.

Publican Party
In early February 2024, JordiHarris announced his bid for the presidency, and rapidly gained supporters. Soon after, Robbiebeastpro90000, the incumbent president who ascended to the position after Akacoolguy96GPT was banned by group management, declared candidacy to try and snatch the Publican Party nomination from Harris. Harris eventually became a frontrunning candidate after reaching 270 members in his campaign server, and was projected to win the Publican nomination just a day into polls being open. He eventually did by a landslide.

Freedom Party
On February 13, 2024, Senator GeorgeGodsent announced his candidacy for President of the United States to face Robbiebeastpro90000. George immediately accrued loads of support from the Freedom Party and across NUSA as a whole, and eventually unanimously won the Freedom Party nomination due to the party's committee choosing him. George announced his campaign on a platform to "appoint competent people, drown toxicity and snakery, and job creation and education."
Independent candidates
There were two frontrunning independent candidates running for President of the United States, popular federal employee AugmentedReaper and NUSA veteran StopJosh_STOP. Both have accrued significant support and were present at the only presidential debate, In the most recent presidential poll, both candidates accrued under 6% of the total voter's desire.
When election results released, the two accrued a total of 2.12% of the vote combined, much lower than expected in polls.
