Presidency of teasoups
teasoups' tenure as the 53rd President of the United States began with her swearing-in ceremony on July 22nd, 2024[1]. Soups, a member of the Pioneer Party who previously served as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives took office after her victory in the 2024 Summer Election where she narrowly defeated incumbent President GeorgeGodsent of the Plutocratic Party. Upon her swearing-in, she became the first female President in NUSA history[2].
2024 Summer election[edit | edit source]

teasoups announced her candidacy to unseat incumbent President GeorgeGodsent almost immediately after she had returned from a 4-year break from Discord. Her campaign ran on an anti-corruption platform, basing it around the controversies regarding GeorgeGodsent's presidency and staff. By July 5, every third party campaign had been suspended and merged with the Soups campaign.
On July 16, 2024, teasoups was pronounced as the victor of the election, defeating GeorgeGodsent by a narrow 1.13%.

President teasoups nominated former U.S. President Akacoolguy96GPT to a vacancy on the District Court on July 25, 2024. He succeeded former judge NikkiHaleyGPT who had stepped down from the bench 4 days earlier.
Montagutheking & DelonWaters nominations[edit | edit source]
On July 27, 2024, former D.C. mayor and attorney Montagutheking along with former U.S. representative DelonWaters were nominated to the court.

Reviving NUSA Twitter[edit | edit source]
On July 30, 2024, President teasoups initiated the return of NUSA's Twitter community by creating the @SoupCabotWH and @NUSAteasoup pages on X, which prompted many individuals to either create or revive former X accounts that had been used during NUSA's Twitter peak in the years of 2020, 2021, and 2022. It was her second major act as President after the ending of the Ridgeway war.
Judicial branch reform[edit | edit source]
On August 1, 2024, Teasoups initiated her judicial reform plan by calling on all associate justices to "resign with dignity" before threatening them with impeachment and a civil office bar. Justices stickza, turntable500 and AustinBoBoston1 later stepped down from the bench in the following days. Teasoups has faced criticism for the intimidation, with people arguing that she is attempting to rid the court of former justices to pack it with loyalists.

Ending the war with Ridgeway[edit | edit source]
teasoups' first act as President was to end the war with the State of Ridgeway, a war of which had begun near the end of GeorgeGodsent's term as a "mock" sort of war to boost USM activity. Teasoups had made it clear that she wanted to instead host collaborative and joint military events with Ridgeway, rather than be at war with them[3].
