N_ightmarre, also known as Luciferhex, Aquafeix and Dukejuul, is a retired American politician who served as the 37th president of the United States from February 7, 2021 to March 21, 2021. He previously served as a member of the United States Senate, where he served as president pro tempore of the Senate and Senate Majority Leader, as well as in the United States House of Representatives where he served as speaker pro tempore. Along with holding a myraid of different law enforcement positions.

N_ightmarre's presidency is notable due to being caused by a clerical error, with the United States Clan Management believing the Presidential Succession Act of 2018, which put the president pro tempore of the Senate before the speaker of the House of Representatives, to still be in effect, despite the fact that it had been repealed by the Presidential Succession Act of 2020 nearly a year prior. Going by the proper order, Speaker of the House Ralphiuss should have been made president. Following the revelation, Speaker Ralphiuss declined to take the issue up in court, stating he would rather be elected president. N_ightmarre would only be the second President to succeed from President Pro Tempore along with being the last President with an active community as nUSA shortly died after his Presidency.

Early career

N_ightmarre started his career in the United States within the United States State Police, eventually rising to the rank of assistant chief of the department. He frequently associated with then-United States State Police Chief NorthernDarkness, serving in the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army while Darkness was Chief of Staff. He also briefly served in the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps. He also, at some point, served as Chief of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Congressional career

U.S. Senate

N_ightmarre was elected to the United States Senate, as a member of the 78th United States Congress, on January 11, 2020, and he came in first place, with nearly one in five votes. During his tenure, he neither introduced nor was a co-sponsor of any legislation that became law. He was however the most influential critic of James Montagu within the Senate, as well as a firm opponent of the Montagu administration's one job policy. Due to N_ightmarre's effort in conjunction with the Reset4k campaign, the bill codifying Montagu's policies never came to light. N_ightmarre waas a member of the Congressional Black Caucus during this time. N_ightmarre would be the only senator to oppose the Reset4k's first Presidential impeachment. He would later resign to become Bearau of Prisons Deputy Chief then succeeding Bobiseeu when he resigned as Chief.  He served in the 78th and 79th United States Congresses during his time in office.

U.S. House of Representatives

Following his term in the Senate, N_ightmarre took a five month break from political office before being elected to the United States House of Representatives on August 30, 2020. This time, as a Republican, he served in the 82nd United States Congress. He was sworn in by Speaker Disn_Ize on September 1, 2020. Again, he neither introduced nor co-sponsored any legislation that became law during his term. He did not run for re-election in November 2020, instead focusing his efforts on a new campaign for U.S. Senate.

Second U.S. Senate term

N_ightmarre was re-elected to the U.S. Senate on December 10, 2020, as a Democrat again. He served in the 83rd United States Congress. During his term, he introduced the DoD Property Act and the DoS Property Act. These were the only bills introduced by N_ightmarre throughout his legislative career that became law.

On February 5, 2021, N_ightmarre was elected president pro tempore of the United States Senate, succeeding incumbent president pro tempore, Senator Lydxia. He only served for two days, until President Dralian was blacklisted on February 7, 2021, ascending N_ightmarre to the presidency. He was sworn in by Chief Justice KOTwarrior on the same day. His accession to the presidency was caused due to a clerical error on the part of the United States Clan Management, who still believed the president pro tempore of the Senate was above the speaker of the House of Representatives in the line of succession. Incumbent Speaker Ralphiuss declined to fight the error in court, allowing N_ightmarre to continue his term.

Presidency

N_ightmarre served as president of the United States from February 7, 2021 until he was succeeded on March 21st, 2021 by Ralphiuss. N_ightmarre was the fourth president to continue serving the rest of former-President ArnieVinick's term, after President ArnieVinick, President LordDeathTheReaper, and President Dralian. His presidency was considered to be the last time the United States was truly active. N_ightmarre's most notable achievement as President was his ablity to revive nUSA and maintain an active community. His Presidency would be the last time that D.C, Congress, USM and the courts were truly active.

Post-presidency

Following the inauguration of Ralphiuss on March 21, 2021, N_ightmarre returned to private life. He never held another position within the U.S. government again. Shortly after he would quit both discord and roblox. However by mid-2022 he would infrequently speak in the NUSA discord under a new account.

Moderation

Prior to his Presidency, N_ightmarre had been blacklisted from nUSA. He was also known to be targeting a member of the community known as ElijahJunaid, displaying clear hatred towards him, even posting a Tweet outlining his support of physical abuse towards him.

After his presidency, he had been kicked from the communications server more than once due to toxic behavior displaying discriminatory remarks and harassment towards other members of the community.
